Jasper's journey

You can't fail if you are from the 1st world

Not too long ago I had a convo with my friend in the car about making it in life. What does it mean to make it in life? Well that depends on your definition of making it. Having a family with a stable income. Being financially independent. Getting the dream job that you have always wanted or perhaps something else. Whatever it is we both agreed that being from a 1st world country (mainly countries in the western world) gives you the biggest headstart to make it in life.

Being from the 1st world gives you a headstart over anyone that has been born in a poverty stricken country. It is supposed to be the easiest to make it in life if you are from a 1st world country yet there are so many people that are essentially just failures living in the 1st world. I have always wondered how can someone that has all the advantages in the world still fail and live a miserable life while someone from a 3rd world country can actually make it out easily? Does it have to do with mentality? Does someone from a 3rd world country have more of a fighter mentality thus making it further in life as opposed to someone from a 1st world country? I'm not sure but I have always wondered why there are so many failures in the west? Why there is so many miserable people out there living in the best countries on earth.

It is a depressing thought that you can't make it in life while having all the advantages in the world. That would make me depressed as fuck atleast. Just thinking about it alone makes me want to grind hard so I will never end up being one of those people. It should be a main motivator for other people aswell. A
